Complaint Lodged on charge of attempting to murder candidate

A complaint against the accused of attempting to murder CPN UML candidate Kamal Singh Bohara, 27 has been lodged at District Police Office (DPO) of Darchula on June 19.

An FIR against eight cadres of Maoist centre have been lodged at DPO after the CPN UML candidate Kamal Singh Bohara was attacked in a pre-planned way with the objective to murder him on June 18 during the candidacy nomination.

An FIR against YCL District In charge Jaya Singh Mahar of Marma Village Council-1, Kamalesh Singh Thagunna, Nara Bahadur Bista, Keshar Singh Dhami, , Dammar Singh Dhami, Dhana Singh Dhami according to UML District Committee Secretary Gyanendra Gharti.

In a clash on June 18, more than 12 cadres from CPN UML were injured. Among the injured, candidate for the post of ward member, Kamal Singh Bohara was rushed to Kohalpur after he could not be treated at District Hospital of Darchula. He sustained a serious head injury according to doctor Rabi Ranjan Shah involved in his treatment.

UML District Committee secretary Gyanendra Gharti said that the candidate was attacked in Latinath in a pre-planned way. Sharpe weapons and stones were used during the clash.

DSP Kedar Nath Khanal of DPO Darchula said that the incident has been taken very seriously and investigation team has been deployed to Marma in leadership of inspector Anish Budathoki.
