There has been a medicine crunch in the Rai health post at Kharpunath Village council-3 since May 24. The shortages in medicine is due to the District Public Health Office not sending medicine to the health post on time.
The acquaintance Purna Bahadur Buda of the patient Harka Buda said that he was carried for three hours be walking after the lack of medicine at Rai health post.
Few days back, one child died on the way to the hospital after the lack of medicine at Rai Health Post. The health post must have 42 types of medicine however there is not even Jeevan Jal, Citamol and Metros according to the locals.
Locals complained that the patients of diarrhea, eyes ailment and flu are increasing and there are no medicine. They complained that about 157 children could not be immunized last year due to the lack of vaccine said acting office chief Bishnu Shahi.
