Police have arrested Dev Raj Shakya,33 of Hetauda Municipality and 28 years old Bimala Lama on charge of polygamy on December 13.
The victim Suntali Ghalam had lodged a complaint at District Police Office of Hetauda on December 7 against the accused. The accused were arrested for the further investigation according to DSP Bam Dev Gautam of Hetauda.
The accused had married on November 13 and was living in a rented room at Hetauda Bazar.
In this financial year eight couples have been charged under polygamy according to the police.
