Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal showed his concern to the health minister over the death of 14 months old girl Sushila Yogi of Sipkhana VDC-4 due to malnutrition.
Prime Minister showed his concern after the news regarding the death of a girl due to the malnutrition was published in a media on November 11. The girl died because of not getting a nutritious food and not able to get treatment at local hospital according to her relative Naula Raj Yogi.
The government has operated nutrition allowance and lunch program for children suffering from malnutrition in Karnali however it is not being effective. Chief Kaushal Oli of District hospital said that the Prime Minister had shown his concern by sending letter of concern at health ministry after a girl died on the way to the hospital due to the malnutrition.
