Police have arrested Ambika Ghimire, 54, on July 3, 2021, on the charges of killing his wife Sita Ghimire, 48 of Belwari Municipality-7, Bahuni.
DSP Manjil Mukharung of the District Police Office informed the INSEC representative that the accused killed the victim by hitting her on the left temple with a stick at around 2:30 am on July 3 during a domestic dispute.
Inspector Saroj Khanal of the Area Police Office Belwari said that the accused was arrested immediately for investigation after the locals informed them about the incident.
The postmortem of the body was conducted at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on July 3.
According to the Area Police Office, Belwari, the final rituals of the deceased was conducted at a local crematorium.
