Police have arrested Indrajeet Kumar Sharma, 27, of Bihar, India, a temporary resident of Pokhara Metropolitan-9 Shantiban on the charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.
According to the victim, the accused had raped her on June 22, 2021, and had made a video and posted in social media. The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Kaski the same day.
According to DSP Subash Hamal of District Police Office, Kaski, the accused was arrested from Chauthe, Pokhara-14 on June 23 following a complaint lodged by the victim.
He said that the accused was arrested and a case was registered against him in the Kaski District Court and he was remanded in custody for 10 days to investigate the incident.
The victim has been examined at the Western Regional Hospital on June 23.
