Voting has started at Bhutan Devi Secondary School in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati Province, on the morning of May 20 in the by-election for the vacant National Assembly member.

According to the Election Commission, the polling program will continue till 3 pm. Provision has been made for voting in the by-elections by showing the documents including voter identity card, citizenship or national identity card issued in the previous election.

Separate polling stations have been set up at the polling stations for the provincial assembly members, local level people’s representatives and Covid infected voters.

There are 109 members of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly and 347 people including 238 people including the chief and deputy chief of the rural municipality and municipality.
