Police have arrested Saddam Hussein, 23, of Siddharthnagar Municipality-4 on March 30 on the charges of raping a 13-year-old girl.
She was raped on March 20, 2021, after the accused lured her into getting married.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on March 29 alleging that the accused had raped her on March 22.
DSP Satyanarayana Thapa said that action has been taken on the basis of the complaint.
The victim underwent a medical examination at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa on March 29.
