Preeti Kumari Sah (35) of Bode Barsain Municipality-8 Kachan was misbehaved and beaten by Laxmi Sah (58), Gosai Sah (45) his wife Kali Devi Sah (44), son Santosh Sah (22), brother Binod Sah (41) in allegation of being a witch. The victim had filed a complaint on 28 January 2020 at the Area Police Office of Kadarbona, but the complaint has not been registered to date.
In her visit to Rajbiraj with her husband Puhup Lal Sah (38) the victim has requested the officers and media persons to refer them for justice.
The victim was tormented on 26 January 2020, informed her husband. When Puhup Lal tried saving his wife, he was also beaten and verbally abused. The District Police Office of Saptari had referred the injured victims to Koshi Hospital of Biratnagar on 28 January 2020.
The district’s governmental lawyer had mailed the Area Police Office to take action against the accused but inspector Ram Raja Keshari denied it. According to inspector Keshari, the dispute was because of opposite political views but was names witchcraft allegation.
