INSEC Monitors Quarantine and Facilitates Psychosocial Counselling

INSEC Rupandehi and Nepal Urban Development Project have coordinated and monitored two quarantines of Butwal sub-metropolitan and facilitated a session on Positive Thinking and Psychosocial Service.

INSEC’s Rupandehi District Representative Rima BC and Coordinator of the Urban Development Project and Senior Psychiatrist Baby Shah monitored and facilitated the session in the quarantine of Kanti Secondary School and Korea Nepal Institute of Technology.

In the facilitation, the participants were trained regarding the stability of mind and stress management, developing positive thoughts, informed trainer Baby Shah.

During the monitoring, the quarantine was found without communication management. There was a scarcity of soaps, buckets and basic sanitation materials. They also lacked a mosquito net and fan which is a necessity of the season.

Butwal sub-metropolitan’s mayor Shiva Raj Subedi said he has been giving proper attention to accommodation management and nutritious food for those staying in the quarantine.
