Dipendra BK, 32, of Bhanu Municipality-8 has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the District Court for raping a six-year-old girl.
A bench of Tanahun District Court Judge Jagat Narayan Pradhan found the accused guilty of rape on February 17, 2021 and sentenced him to life imprisonment, and fined NRs. 50,000.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Dumre on May 26, 2020 alleging that the accused had raped her.
A case was filed against the accused on May 27 under the heading of rape.
The accused was sent to judicial custody for on June 4 on the order of the district court Tanahu.
