District court has sentenced a 17-year-old boy to six years in prison on December 10 for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.
A bench of Judge Prakash Raut declared him guilty and charged him with a fine of Rs 35,000 along with imprisonment.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on March 23 accusing the accused of sexually abusing the girl.
Based on the complaint of the victim, the police arrested the accused on April 4 and registered a case against him in the district court on April 14.
The accused was released on Rs 50,000 bail after the order of the district court on April 14.
The girl was examined at the District Hospital on March 23, 2020.
