Police have arrested Padam Bahadur Rai, 45, of Amlise Bhanjyang Primary School of Mai Municipality-1 on October 15 on the charge of murdering him.
Teacher Rai was found strangled in the yard of a local Padma Bahadur’s house on October 15.
Local human rights activist Bimal Kumar Dahal said that a sharp weapon was found in the back of Rai’s neck.
According to SP Nabin Raj Rai of the District Police Office, the accused Padma Bahadur was arrested after a dog brought from the Federal Police Unit Dharan tackled the incident.
The postmortem of the body was done at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (GHOPA) Dharan on October 17 and handed over to the family.
