Police have arrested Sher Bahadur Shrestha, 31, of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan-4 on October 8 on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim was raped on October 1 and she had complained against the accused at the Area Police Office, Dharan on October 7.
DSP Gyanendra Bahadur Shrestha of the Area Police Office Dharan said that the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
The girl was examined at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan (Ghopa) on October 7.
