Police have arrested Raj Kumar Rai, 35, on September 9 on the charge of killing his sister-in-law Keshar Maya Rai, 48, of Temkemayung Rural Municipality-5.
The victim’s side had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on September 8 accusing him of beating his sister-in-law to death during a domestic dispute.
DSP Krish Kumar Chand of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
According to DSP Chand, a case of murder has been registered against the accused in the district court on September 8.
The postmortem of the body was conducted at the District Hospital on September 9.
