Police arrested Bihariya Mandal of Hanspur Municipality-7, Naukahor on November 10 for the charge of killing Chandrakala Devi Das,62, with a sharp weapon. According to the victim’s husband, Bindeshwar Das, when his wife did not return home late at night, they searched for her and found her body about 500 meters from their house in a field, with deep injuries on the head and face.
DSP Ganesh Bam of the District Police Office, Dhanusha said that while investigating the locals, they stated that the victim was killed during a dispute over interest on a loan. The post-mortem of the body was done on November 11 at Provincial Hospital, Janakpurdham, and the body was handed over to the family for cremation as per DSP Bam.
