The District Police Office, Parbat, has arrested Jit Bahadur BK, 52 on charges of killing his wife, Sita BK, 52 of Modi Rural Municipality-6. According to police, the accused had beaten his wife on the evening of November 10, 2025, leaving her unconscious. She was rescued by police and taken to the Provincial Hospital, Parbat, where doctors declared her dead. Police reported that Sita had sustained injuries to her head and face.
Inspector Sudip Bhandari of the District Police Office, Parbat, informed that Jit Bahadur had been released on bail on the same day after serving a prison sentence for marital rape.
It was his wife who had paid the bail amount for his release. The couple has three sons working abroad, while four family members, including their daughter-in-law, were living in the house. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
