Police arrested Sandesh Rai,31, on November 3 for the charge of killing his 69-year-old father, Yubaraj Rai, 69 of Hilihang Rural Municipality-1, Phedap. According to DSP Anish Kumar Karna of the District Police Office, the accused allegedly struck his father with a wooden stick under the influence of alcohol during a dispute over property shares. DSP Karna stated that the father died after the accused repeatedly hit him on various parts of his body. The post-mortem of the body is prepared to be done at the district hospital, according to the Koshi Province Police Office.
