Man Bahadur Budha, 59, from Banfikot Rural Municipality, an inmate in the Rukum West jail, passed away on the morning of March 18.
According to the Rukum West District Police Office, Budha suddenly lost consciousness at around 1:30 a.m. and was immediately taken to the district hospital in Salleri for treatment.
During treatment, doctors declared him dead, according to Police Inspector Hariprasad Pun, the information officer of the district police office.
Dr. Mitu Sadashankar, who was involved in the treatment, stated that Budha had severe high blood pressure, respiratory issues, and diabetes. He was declared dead at 5 a.m. during treatment. Budha was serving a jail sentence for a killing case.
