A four-year-old rape survivor, who faced difficulties accessing legal procedures due to weak economic conditions, has received financial assistance. The INSEC Lumbini Province Office, Nepalgunj, provided the support on April 1, through its Human Rights Assistance Desk under a protection project. INSEC Bardiya representative Prakash Poudel handed over Rs. 10,000 to the victim’s relatives to support access to justice.
According to the victim’s side, a complaint was filed at the Area Police Office, Baniyabhar, on March 18, alleging that a 13-year-old boy raped the child on the same day. The accused was arrested by the police on March 18. The survivor underwent medical examination on March 18.
