INSEC Provides Financial Assistance in Going Through Legal Process

The Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) Madhesh Province Office, through the Human Rights Help Desk, provided financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 on December 12, 2025 to the family of Avina Danuwar, 17 of Karjanha Municipality–1, Baltiya, to support them in pursuing legal procedures.

INSEC Madhesh Province Office stated that the assistance was provided to the girl’s family through the Human Rights Help Desk under the Protection Project operated with the support of DCA.

The amount of Rs. 10,000 was handed over to Avina’s mother, Dayawati Kumari, through the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in the presence of Karjanha Municipality Mayor Bhola Prasad Pokharel, Deputy Mayor Laxmi Shrestha, Chairperson of Mukti Nepal Devkumari Mahara, Chairperson of the Women Human Rights Defenders Network Ganga Kumari Adhikari, and Devraj Pokharel of the Human Rights Alliance, informed INSEC Siraha Representative Durga Pariyar.

The body of Avina, who was studying in Grade 9, was found dumped in bushes near the Kamala Canal, south of the school premises, on the afternoon of December 1.

INSEC and Mukti Nepal jointly monitored the incident on December 11.
