With financial support from DCA, the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Madhesh provided financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 on April 20 to a 38-year-old woman who is a survivor of violence. INSEC Sarlahi representative Budhan Sah stated that the assistance was provided through the Human Rights Help Desk formed by INSEC Madhesh Province.
On February 16, Jitendra Mahato, 31, Sushil Mahato, 20, and Rajesh Mahato, 25, of Bahadurpur, Godaita Municipality–1, allegedly subjected the victim to beating and inhuman treatment. The victim’s side filed a complaint on March 22 at the District Police Office, Malangwa. The victim received treatment the same day at the Provincial Hospital, Malangwa.
The accused Mahato individuals are currently absconding, and search operations are ongoing, DSP Saroj Rai informed.
