With financial support from DCA, the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Madhesh Province Office provided financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 to a 25-year-old woman who is a victim of an attempted rape incident on April 16.
According to Budhan Sah, INSEC Sarlahi representative, the amount was provided through the Human Rights Help Desk formed under INSEC Madhesh Province with the objective of supporting the victim, who comes from a poor and marginalized family, in accessing legal procedures.
The victim had filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Haripur, on December 22, stating that Ramchandra Chaudhary, 28 of Haripur Municipality–7, Chitain, attempted to rape her on December 8, 2025.
The victim underwent a medical examination on December 23 at the District Hospital in Malangwa. According to DSP Saroj Rai of the District Police Office, Malangwa, the accused Chaudhary is currently absconding, and a search operation is ongoing.
