Police arrested Tekendra Nepali, 32 of Barekot Rural Municipality-7, on 19 November for shooting and injuring Yam Bahadur Singh, 34,of the same municipality-6, on the night of 18 November.
According to Inspector Sudhinkumar Khadka of the District Police Office, Jajarkot, the accused, Nepali, shot Singh while he was returning home from a traditional fair held in Karkijyula, Barekot Rural Municipality-6. The injured Singh was initially taken to Jajarkot Hospital for treatment, but as treatment was not possible there, he was referred the same night to Nepalgunj Neuro Hospital for further care.
Inspector Sudhinkumar Khadka added that preliminary investigation has revealed that Nepali used a pistol.
