Five Who Escaped From Custody Re-arrested

Police arrested five of the twelve inmates between October 13 and November 9 who had escaped during the vandalism and arson at the Banepa Police Station during the Gen-Z protest.  Among those arrested, Saroj Pode Deula, 28, of Panauti-4, Kavrepalanchowk, was taken into custody on October 15 for the charge of indecent behavior. Similarly, Padam Bahadur Timalsina, 33, of Panauti-9, Kavrepalanchowk, was arrested on November 4 for similar charges.

Additionally, Dol Bahadur Lungeli Magar, 46, of Roshi-7, Kavrepalanchowk, was arrested on November 7 in connection with charges of indecent behavior. Meanwhile, Sambar Magar, 23, of Jantedhunga-6, Khotang, was taken into custody on November 8 in connection with charges of sexual abuse.

Police arrested Khadkabhadur Sunar, 23 of Roshi-1, Kavrepalanchowk on November 9 for damaging vehicles. The accused were arrested from various locations and further investigations are ongoing as per Rabin Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Kavrepalanchok District Police Office.
