An inmate of Jhumka Jail of Ramdhuni Municipality-5 has died.
Sughana Sardar, 42 was found unconscious on November 9, 2025 in block “B” of the jail
Jailer Subas Lamichhane said that Sardar, who was found unconscious, was immediately taken to the District Hospital in Inaruwa for treatment, but he died during the course of treatment.
Sardar had been serving a sentence in the prison under the order of the Sunsari District Court dated September 18, in connection with a human trafficking case.
According to the jail administration, the victim’s family claimed the body on November 9.
