Yamu Khatri, 44, of Ganespur, Banganga Municipality-6, was arrested on May 14, 2026, on the charge of defaming a 32-year-old woman through the use of social media.
DSP Ripendra Kumar Singh of the District Police Office said that the accused had uploaded defamatory content on social media on May 6, and the victim filed a case against him on charges related to electronic crimes on May 14, following which legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
