The victim filed a complaint against Niranjan Yadav, a school teacher on December 6, for allegedly beating up a nine-year-old girl studying at Bardghat Kalika English School in Bardghat Kalika English School, Sarawal Rural Municipality-7, on December 4 for being absent in the school.
The aggrieved party alleged that Yadav, who is also the assistant principal of the school, reached her home, slapped the girl twice and brought her to the school and beat her on the back with a cane.
Hayat Kha Dhunia, Ward Chairperson of Sarawal Rural Municipality-7, reported that the aggrieved party locked out the school citing injuries sustained by the victim as a result of physical assault.
Yadav took the victim to the roof, where he physically assaulted her. As a consequence of the beating, the girl was unable to walk on her own and had to be assisted by her friends when coming downstairs.
SP Kajikumar Acharya of the District Police Office said that a complaint of beating was registered on behalf of the victim at the District Police Office, Parasi and the investigation has been carried forward.
