Police arrested R.B. Sharma, 30, alias Ram Sharan Sharma Bajgai, from Takhel, Godawari Municipality-10, on March 31 on charges of beating senior citizens walking along the roadside in front of the Mental Hospital in Lagankhel, Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
According to SP and Information Officer Gautam Mishra of the District Police Office, Lalitpur, on March 29, during a rally organized by the UML, a senior citizen expressed their views from the roadside, leading to an argument between both sides. The accused allegedly assaulted the senior citizen and behaved in a disorderly manner. He was taken into custody, and the Lalitpur District Court granted a five-day remand for further investigation.
