Police arrested Bishnu Shrestha, 42, of Badaiyatal Rural Municipality-9, on March 17 on charges of attempting to rape a 34-year-old woman.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Station, Mainapokhara, on March 16, accusing Shrestha of attempting to rape the victim on March 15.
The victim underwent a medical examination on March 16 at the Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
