A sudden fire that broke out in the afternoon at Ramnagar Pajha, Ward No. 2 of Dudhuwa Rural Municipality, has affected five households. The fire, which started at around 3 PM on March 16, destroyed five houses.

The fire destroyed houses, kitchens, cattle sheds, and property worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, including gold and silver jewelry and cash. According to the police, the fire started from the house of Babadeen Godiya and spread to the homes of Babadeen Godiya, Sabitram Godiya, Bankelal Yadav, Lallan Yadav, and Ram Baksh Godiya.
In the incident, four houses and three cattle sheds were completely destroyed, while one house was partially damaged. It is also reported that around Rs. 500,000 in cash was burnt.
According to local resident Jaisaram Godiya, the fire has also affected the studies of local students. He stated that the incident has created additional difficulties, especially with exams approaching.
As the fire broke out during the daytime, local farmers were at home and initially attempted to extinguish it using a pumping set. Later, the fire was brought under control with the assistance of the Nepal Police and a fire engine from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, according to local resident Rammilan Dhobi.

According to Ward Chairperson Durga Prasad Varma, the fire was brought under control through the joint efforts of the Nepal Police, the fire brigade, and local residents.
A team led by Rural Municipality Chairperson Narendra Kumar Chaudhary reached the incident site and stated that preparations are underway to provide relief to the victims and to coordinate with the District Disaster Management Committee for further assistance.
