During the Gen Z movement, on September 9, 2025, five individuals were arrested by the police for allegedly setting fire, vandalizing, and misbehaving with the police at the Area Police Office, Itahari.
The five identified individuals involved in the arson and vandalism at the police office were arrested by the police on November 25.
The arrested include Vijay Limbu, 29, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–3, Madan Khatri, 47, originally from Yangpang, Bhojpur, currently residing in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–4, Sonam Karki, 24, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–4, Dipendrakumar Karki, 44, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–5, and Abhash Karki, 24, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–8.
DSP Subas Hamal of the Area Police Office, Itahari, stated that the five accused were arrested based on photos and videos.
DSP Chandra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office said that a criminal disturbance case has been filed in court against the arrested individuals, and the case was registered in court on November 27, proceeding with legal action.
During the Gen Z movement, arson occurred at both the Area Police Office and the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City Office.
