During the Gen-Z movement, on September 9, 2025, two individuals were arrested by the police on November 23, 2025 for allegedly vandalizing and setting fire to the Supreme Court.
Jyoti Thapa Ghatane, 28, from Bhadrapur Municipality–1, Jhapa, and Sushil Shrestha, also known as Brown, 30, from Mahalaxmi Municipality–5, Tikathali, Lalitpur, were arrested, informed SP and Information Officer Chakraraj Joshi of District Police Office, Lalitpur.
The police stated that the accused had vandalized and set fire to the court during the GJM movement. Based on public videos and photos, they were arrested from Tikathali and handed over to the District Police Office, Kathmandu, SP Joshi informed.
