Human rights network, Nepalgunj, UML has urged Madhesi Front to conduct the programs of protest peacefully as CPN-UML is on its Mechi-Mahakali campaign whereby Madhesi Front has announced strike against it.
Human Rights Network, Nepalgunj on March 11, met the leaders of the Madhesi Front and UML to make the request. Central member of Terai Madhesi Democratic Party, Bijaya Gupta made the commitment to peaceful protest stating that they are not into creating the situation of chaos. Central member of the same party, Pashupati Dayal Mishra suggested that the mass assembly of UML should be held on Kohalpur on March 14. Similarly, Chairperson of Central discipline inspection department of Satbhawana Party, Ram Kumar Dixit stressed on the necessity to make police administration aware about the stages to control and manage the crowds by NHRC.
Chairperson of the UML Banke, Ashok Koirala mentioned that they are sensitive on making the campaign peaceful and committed to prevent the situation of clash. The assembly that is about to happen on March 14 is shifted to Karkado-based road division from Ramlila ground of Nepalgunj to avoid unfavorable incidents.
Human rights network, UML has been requested to maintain peace and security to prevent any unwanted incident and to involve all parties in the meeting.
Regional director of the National Human Rights Commission, Murari Kharel on the meeting with Madhesi Front and UML leaders said that the human rights defenders conduct their monitoring following every code of ethics.
