A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) and the National Youth Council on April 26, with the objective of expanding mutual cooperation.
Through the MoU, the two organizations have agreed to collaborate in the promotion of human rights, capacity development of youth, awareness-raising, and the joint implementation of various programs.
The memorandum includes provisions aimed at ensuring active participation of youth in the protection and promotion of human rights, conducting research, documentation, and orientation programs, as well as collaboration in the formulation of youth-friendly policies and programs.
In the context that INSEC has long been engaged in human rights monitoring, documentation, and advocacy, the collaboration with the National Youth Council is expected to further support in making young people more active and aware of human rights issues.
Similarly, the National Youth Council has also expressed its commitment to work jointly with INSEC in enhancing youth leadership development, strengthening social responsibility, and promoting democratic values and principles.
It is believed that this understanding between the two institutions will make joint initiatives in the fields of human rights and youth empowerment more effective.
