Parvati Devi Mandal Dhanuk, 38, of Kamala Municipality–9, filed a complaint on April 20, at the Khajuri Area Police Office against Mahesh Mandal, 48, Baulu Mandal, 29, and Sonali Devi Mandal, 21 of the same locality, accusing them of beating Dhanuk on April 11 by labeling her a ‘witch’ while she was alone at home.
Parvati, who was injured in the attack, received treatment the same day at Neuro Hospital, Janakpurdham. According to Inspector Babindra Prasad Nengwang of the Khajuri Area Police Office, the accused are currently absconding, and a search operation is underway.
