Police arrested Mahesh Buda, 21, of Raskot Municipality-5 on April 20 on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kalikot, on April 19, accusing Buda of raping the victim on April 18. According to Inspector Ganesh Gyawali, the accused was taken into custody for investigation upon the complaint.
The victim underwent a medical examination on April 19 at Yogi District Hospital, Kalikot.
