Police arrested Suman Mahato, 42, on April 10, on charges of killing his niece, Nagina Mahato, 21, of Sisaute, Ramnagar Rural Municipality-6.
According to DSP Saroj Rai, the accused allegedly attacked and killed his niece with a sharp weapon on the morning of April 9, following a dispute that arose after she refused to marry him during a conversation regarding marriage.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted on April 10 at the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa.
