A meeting of the Human Rights Help Desk was held on April 8, 2026, under the chairmanship of Narayan Subedi, Coordinator of INSEC Karnali Province, organized by the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC).
During the meeting, discussions were held on the endorsement of previous decisions made by the secretariat, petitions submitted by victims, and proposals regarding the effectiveness of the Gender-Based Violence Prevention Fund. Decisions were made on all three petitions received by the Human Rights Help Desk.
It was decided to provide Rs. 6,000 as legal aid support to Binita Gautam, 29, of Barahatal Rural Municipality–5 through INSEC. Similarly, Srijana Gahtaraj, 20, of Gurbhakot Municipality–8, will be supported by FEDO Surkhet, and Kaushila Sarki, 52, of Bheriganga Municipality–9, will be recommended to the Women and Children Section of Birendranagar Municipality for financial assistance, informed Narayan Subedi, Coordinator of INSEC Karnali Province Office.
