Police arrested Nageswor Kumar Mahato, 37, of Bhramhapuri Rural Municipality-4, on April 6 on charges of attempting to raping a 39-year-old woman.
The victim’s family has alleged that the accused threatened, beat, and attempted to rape the woman at her home on February 18.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Malangawa, on April 5. The victim underwent a medical examination on the same day at Sarlahi District Hospital, Malangwa.
