Accused Arrested in Wife’s Killing Case

Kamala Oli, 27, originally from Triveni Rural Municipality–10, Rukum West, and currently residing in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City–19, has allegedly been killed, with police arresting her husband, Gopal Oli, 34, on the charge.

According to SP Dipak Shrestha of the District Police Office Dang, the incident occurred on the evening of March 26 following a domestic dispute, during which Gopal attacked Kamala with a sharp weapon. She sustained serious injuries to her head and face and was rushed to Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, where doctors declared her dead.

Police reported that the accused was arrested the same night and an investigation has been initiated. The post-mortem examination of the body was conducted on March 27 at Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur. The accused, Gopal Oli, is a government employee working as an Accounts Officer at the Forest Office in Birgunj.
