The police arrested Jinesh Waiba, 19, of Chandrapur Municipality-1, on March 15 on charges of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Station, Chandranigahpur, on March 15, accusing Waiba of sexually abusing the victim on March 14.
DSP Rupa Labung of Chandranigahpur Police Station stated that the investigation is ongoing with a seven-day extension granted by the District Court.
