Police arrested Sanjay Jimba, 24, and Ajay Thing, 35, of Ramnatar, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–12, for allegedly attacking police in Makari of Manahari Rural Municipality–1, Makwanpur, on March 11, 2026.
During the attempt to control the situation, Sanish Titung, 19, of Hattigauda, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–12, was injured after being shot in the right side of his abdomen. In the same incident, Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Dil Bahadur Tamang sustained injuries to both hands.
The injured police officer and Titung, who sustained the gunshot wound, were admitted to Churehill Hospital for treatment.
According to the police, preliminary investigation has revealed that the two arrested individuals and Titung, who was injured by the gunshot, had previously been involved in various criminal activities, including drug-related offenses, attempted killing, and theft. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
