CIB Conducting Further Investigation into Inisa’s Killing

A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrived in Surkhet on March 12 to conduct further investigation into the case of 16-year-old Inisa BK of Surkhet, who was raped and killed.

The District Police Office Surkhet stated that the entire first phase of the investigation had been completed at the district level and that the support of the Central Investigation Bureau had been sought for further investigation.

According to Superintendent of Police Sudhir Raj Shahi of the District Police Office Surkhet, an expert team from the bureau under the command of a police inspector arrived in Birendranagar on March 12.

“The postmortem report has already been received. We have sent the mobile phones and other electronic devices of both the victim’s and the accused’s families to the forensic lab for investigation,” he said. “They have been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for toxicological and bioserological tests. Once those reports arrive, we will conclude Inisa’s murder.”

According to SP Shahi, along with the formation of the expert team at the District Police Office Surkhet, a polygraph team has also arrived from the Karnali Province Police Office in Nepalgunj. He stated that the expert team has arrived to examine matters such as polygraph testing, which helps detect whether a person is lying, as well as the postmortem report, call details, and other related aspects.
