Police have arrested Dammaraj Joshi, 35, on charges of killing his wife, Saraswati Awasthi, 30 of Devhariya, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City–7, on the night of March 7.
According to DSP Yogendra Timilsina of the District Police Office, Kailali, the woman’s body was found inside the house after she was allegedly killed by her husband, who attacked her on the head with a sharp weapon following a domestic dispute.
DSP Timilsina stated that Joshi, who had fled after killing his wife, was arrested on the morning of March 8, and further investigation is ongoing.
Police said that the body has been kept at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi, for postmortem and will be handed over to the family after the postmortem examination.
