Akash Ram, 15, of Malangwa Municipality–4, was injured after being shot while playing with an unattended pistol.
According to DSP Saroj Rai of the District Police Office, the boy was shot in the palm of his right hand while playing with the unattended pistol found at the Dhaka Border in the same ward on February 19.
The pistol had been found wrapped in a red cloth inside an under-construction Hanuman temple. Police informed that the boy was injured when the gun went off while he was handling it, thinking it was a toy. The injured boy is undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital, Malangwa.
