Police arrested Sant Bahadur Kumal, 46, of Isma Rural Municipality–2, Chhalditar, Gulmi, on January 29 on charges of killing his son. Immediately after the incident, his daughter, Sarita Kumal, lodged an oral complaint at the Hastichaur Police Post on 29 January.
According to DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru of the Gulmi District Police Office, the accused, under the influence of alcohol, killed his three-month-old son by throwing him to the ground. DSP Saru stated that Kumal has been arrested, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The post-mortem examination of the body was conducted on January 29 at Gulmi Hospital, Tamghas.
