Suspects Arrested for Smearing Black Paint on Vice-Chancellor

Police arrested Sher Bahadur Pariyar, 39, of Ghorahi Umanpa–6, on charges of assaulting Dhaneshwar Nepal, 56, Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Sanskrit University, Dullu, Dailekh, by smearing black paint.

An unknown group had entered the Vice-Chancellor’s residence at the Central Office of Nepal Sanskrit University in Beljhundi, Tulsipur Umanpa-18, on December 21, 2025, and fled after beating Vice-Chancellor Nepal and throwing black paint at him.

Pariyar was arrested from Ghorahi Umanpa-1 on January 2, 2026, on suspicion of involvement in the incident, and an investigation has been initiated, according to a press release issued on January 5 by DSP Chakrabhadur Shah of the District Police Office, Dang.
