The District Police Office, Myagdi, has recovered 115 firearms and three gun barrels under the Bravo Shera operation, which has been ongoing since December 1, 2025.
With the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026, the police conducted search and seizure operations in various villages and settlements across the district as part of an integrated security plan.
At a press conference held on 18 Poush, the District Police Office, Myagdi, displayed the recovered guns and barrels. According to DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa, the seized weapons were either unauthorized or potentially intended for illegal use. The police also recovered weapons hidden in empty houses, tree branches, and buried in the ground based on local tips.
Specifically, the police recovered one gun barrel and 48 firearms from Raghuganga Rural Municipality, 20 firearms from Malika Rural Municipality, 16 firearms from Annapurna Rural Municipality, 14 firearms from Mangala Rural Municipality, 11 firearms from Beni Municipality, and two gun barrels from Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality.
Information Officer Sagar Timilsina of the District Police Office, Myagdi, stated that most of the recovered firearms were in operational condition.
