Police arrested Ramesh Sharma, 22, of Mithila Municipality-1, on December 28, 2025, for character assassination via social media.
According to DSP Ganesh Bam, the victim’s family had filed a complaint on October 2,5, accusing him of defaming a 16-year-old girl by posting obscene images.
The police said the case is under investigation.
